About Aurora Creations

Aurora Creations is where art, nature, and northern magic meet. Created by Manitoba artist Kiera Dingwall, each piece is inspired by the beauty of the Canadian North from glowing auroras to delicate snowflakes captured in time. Growing up, I spent time visiting my grandparents in northern Manitoba, a place that left a lasting impression on me as a child. My family has ties to Churchill, Manitoba, where my grandparents currently reside and my great grandmother lived as the wife of a fur trader. The quiet winter landscapes, glowing northern lights, and delicate patterns of falling snow became memories that stayed with me long after those visits. Those experiences sparked a lifelong fascination with the beauty of winter and the natural world. Today, that inspiration lives on through my work, where I recreate those moments through northern landscapes, wildlife, and preserved snowflakes. One of the most unique elements of my work is the preservation of real snowflakes. Carefully collected during Manitoba winters and preserved by hand, these delicate crystals become part of my artwork and jewelry capturing something that normally disappears in seconds. Each preserved snowflake is completely unique, making every piece truly one-of-a-kind. While snowflakes are a central part of Aurora Creations, it is a collection of handmade pieces inspired by nature, winter, storytelling and the magic all around us. Alongside snowflake art, I create glass bead bracelets, tote bags and drinkware. Aurora Creations also creates curated experiences like Blind Date with a Book, and other pieces meant to bring creativity and small moments of joy into everyday life. Aurora Creations is about more than just art it's about holding onto moments that would otherwise disappear. Whether it's a preserved snowflake, a northern animal painting, or a handmade piece, each creation is meant to carry a little piece of wonder, memory, and northern magic. I create each piece from my home studio in Manitoba, often inspired by the changing seasons, northern landscapes, and the beauty of the natural world around me. Thank you for supporting handmade art and being part of the Aurora Creations journey.
